IoT ( Internet of Things) is a technological revolution that has changed human society again after the Internet. The Internet of Things, as the name implies, is the Internet of Everything. In 2005, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) formally proposed the concept of the Internet of Things and released the "ITU Internet Report 2005: Internet of Things". The report pointed out that the ubiquitous "Internet of Things" communication era is coming, all objects in the world range from tires to Toothbrushes, from houses to paper towels can be actively exchanged through the Internet. Radio frequency identification technology (RFID), sensor technology, nanotechnology, and intelligent embedding technology will be more widely used.
Our IoT basic course is to lead students to learn to use smartphones to control more and more home IoT devices, such as smart light bulbs, temperature controllers, surveillance cameras, Bluetooth speakers, to help them understand the basic principles of IoT, and contact The three basic characteristics of the Internet of Things are overall perception, reliable transmission, and intelligent processing.
Students will use the Android application developer (MIT App Inventor) to develop smartphone applications. This is an Android smartphone application development software with a graphical interface. It was originally created and provided with technical support by Google. It is now maintained and operated by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Students will start by learning the design of the application user interface, and then the functional design. Here, the students will be able to call various hardware functions of the smartphone, such as speakers, microphones, flashes, cameras, Bluetooth, Wifi, etc.
After the hardware is controlled, students can begin to learn to connect external devices and exchange information. All programs can be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet (Android system), and an apk can be generated and shared with other users.
The Internet of Things basic course is suitable for introductory learners who do not have a Java language foundation and want to understand the Internet of Things knowledge and learn mobile phone programming. The course tells the basics of the Internet of Things and smartphone development technology from shallow to deep.
